Rayne Charette
Tribal Affiliation: Turtle Mountain Tribe

Rayne is in charge of Web Development for the Indigenous Math & Science Institute located at Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Montana. His responsibilities include managing web content, design, and support. Rayne also works with the Flathead Geo-science education project (FGEP), The Summer Institute of Math & Science (SIMS), and Big Sky Science Partnership (BSSP).


Merrie Lewis
Salish Kootenai College
Business Management

Merrie develops recruiting tools, travels to other tribal colleges, high schools, conferences and workshops. She works closely with all tribal entities and their programs. She assists students with their admissions and financial aid paper work.

She has also worked with SKC’s Tribal Business Information Center (TBIC), the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) and the Native American Development Corporation (NADC).


Zetra Wheeler

Zetra is currently the Principal Investigator/Program Manager for the Indigenous Math & Science Institute (IMSI) that encompasses the Louis Stokes All Nations Alliance for Minority Participation Program (ANSLAMP). She works with student programs such as the Research Opportunities Program for Excellence (ROPE) Program, the University of Montana’s Native American Research Labs (NARL), and the Student to Academic Professoriate for American Indians (SAPAI), the Partner for Environmental Technology (PETE) and the Integrative Graduate Education and Research Training (IGERT) and was officially appointed to a two year “At-Large” PETE Board position.

She also has a minor in Native American studies and Business Management from Eastern Montana College. She is a facilitator trainer for the Graduate Research Orientation Workshop (GROW). She is a member of the American Indian Science & Engineering Society ( AISES), Northwest Partnership Environmental Technology Education ( NW PETE) and the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
